"Otto Poon Lecture" is established with the donation from Otto Poon Charitable Foundation founded by Dr. Otto Poon. This lecture series acts as a platform for global scholars and practitioners to exchange knowledge and ideas on environment and sustainability topics.

Otto Poon Charitable Foundation Limited was established in 2017 by Dr. Otto Poon, a Chartered Engineer and the Founder and Chairman of ATAL Engineering Group, to support education in science, engineering and technologies through setting up scholarships, research fellowships, research grants, and funding educational activities in Hong Kong and Mainland China. The Foundation aims to facilitate academic researches, and hopes to see advancement of knowledge in all fields related to sciences and humanities as well as the sharing of research results for the benefits of the general public.
